  Notes	Notes for Geneva Mae Fritts: RECOLLECTIONS by Geneva Mae (Fritts) Fedler "I remember our Grandma Fine lived with us. I think I was four or five years old when she became sick. Upon her death a neighborhood carpenter came to our home and built her coffin from pine limber. I recall it as being covered with black velvet and having pretty metal handles on it. She was dressed in black and although only 77 years old, looked very, very old. She was of English descent and had a hard life, going through the Civil war and loosing her husband, Captain Lee Fine. He was a Confederate Officer wounded in the Battle of Pea Ridge and died at an Inn a few days later. Grandma and my mother were with him when he died. Grandma had 9 children but lost them all except my mother before her death. Grandma Fine is buried in the Old Zion Hill Cemetery beside her son George Fine. Her maiden name was Ann Harshaw, her death was June 9, 1893. My Grandfather Lee Fine died Sept 11, 1861 and is buried at Fayetteville, Arkansas in a cemetery for Confederate soldiers."
