    Applied for pension on Feburary 25, 1834 in Mason County, Kentucky, at the age of 71. Served in the Revolutionary War for 6 months beginning December, 1776, again in August 1777 under Captain Thomas Berry, and in the spring of 1780 under Colonel Stewart, where he was appointed as assisistant quatermaster. Was at the seige of Yorktown and the Surrender of Lord Cornwallis, while serving under General Lafayette. He was in the battles of Brandywine, Germantown, and Monomouth.

    In August, 1782 sworn as Deputy Sheriff in Frederick County, Virginia

    First trip to Kentucky was in 1784, moved his family in 1798.

    Served in the War of 1812 for Mason County.

    Was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, 1802 - 1808, for Mason County.
