    Ludwig Engler Died in 1893. His wife's maden name was Rose (last name). they lived in the town of Berent in the Polish Corrador Southwest of Danzig, now Gdansk Poland. The town now is known as Koscierzyna Poland.
    Otto Engler, Ludwig's son, was a netmaker by trade in Germany. He came to the United States twice, the first time by himself. The second time he brought his family. Wife Matilda Leffke Engler, a son Max, and daughter Mina. Mina was born in Stittin Germany, the port city of Berlin at that time; While they were waiting for transport to the U.S.
    He settled in north Buffalo New York at 2829 Main Street in a duplex owned by his employer Lewis Bennett. Otto worked in Bennett's Quarry as a laborer. His other four children were born in Buffalo. The family at first attended the German Evangelical Church on Northhampton Street at Humboldt Pkwy. The trip to this church was a distance by streetcar so in 1892, Otto became one of the founders of Tabor Lutheran Church on Leroy Avenue. Otto laiter worked as an elevator operator at the Hewitt Rubber Co.
    In the 1920s, he moved to a home at 6 Sanford Street in Buffalo which was purchased and moved for him by his son in law William Paeplow.
    His son Gustav was married to Bertha Luchterhand of Eggertsville. Helena (Laney) his daughter was married to August Luchterhand (second marriage) , Bertha's brother. Bertha and August's father and Bill Lutz mother were brother and sister. Bill Lutz and family lived in Karl Paeplow's cottage at 164 Dewey Avenue when I grew up there.
    Gustav and Bertha Engler lived on Sanford Street nextdoor to the Engler's home. In laiter years Charles and Lillian Engler lived in the house at 6 Sanford Street.
    Walter Engler , Otto's youngest son married Helene Boguhn of Depew New York. Ethel Hurni, Aunt (Laney) Helena Engler Hurni Luchterhand's daughter married Helene Boguhn's brother's son LaVerne Boguhn.

    In the will of your deceased father Ludwig Engler,I was appointed the executer (of the will) by the court, for the unknown heir. On November 2 the testament (will) was opened, which your named father wrote on 19 February 1892. He designated as beneficiaries (heirs) your brothers and sisters.

    A letter from Erick Falk a nephew of Otto Engler. All that is known of the Falks, is that they lived in Port Huron, Michigan, and they owned a Funeral Home.

    Dear Uncle Otto, I will attempt to write a few lines. I havent much time because I am working in a printing shop. At present I am only earning $1.00 per week but soon I will get a raise from H.F. Krause.I think I am going to learn the business part of printing.
    Dear Uncle we are all healthy and the father is working his business and mother is still pritty healthy.
    I give you a few lines from my printing shop that means- like Adam present.
