Washington Berry, the son of Thomas Berry and Elizabeth Washington, moved to Kentucky about 1793 with his wife and oldest child. He was the first County Judge of Campbell County, KY, and was one of the trustees to lay out the town of Newport in 1795. His will was made 25 Apr 1813 and recorded 8 Aug 1813 in Campbell County. His
property was the location of Dayton, Kentucky.
