12. | Frederick Harsdorff was born on 26 Oct 1832 in Prussia; died on 12 Oct 1869 in Meyersville, Dewitt Co., Texas USA. Notes: Mr. Harsdorff was a blacksmith around Arneckeville and Meyersville, (DeWitt Co.) Texas, one night some men came to his blacksmith shop, tied him up and hung him by his neck, in order to force him tell the men where his money was hidden, he would not tell, however his wife, Theresa (Bluntzer) Harsdorff heard the ruckus and came out, and told the robbers where the money was hidden, so they cut him down and ran off with the money. Frederick Harsdorff died about three or four weeks later as a result of the hanging. This fact came from Mr. David M. Harsdorff, a great grandson of Fredrick Harsdorff and a second cousin, once removed to this compiler, on Oct. 5, 1997. Frederick married Theresa Bluntzer on 26 Apr 1856 in Clinton, Dewitt Co., TX, USA.
