Squire married Sarah Morgan on 23 Sep 1720 in Berks Co., Pennslyvania. Sarah (daughter of Edward Morgan, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Jarman) was born in 1700 in Gwynedd, Montgomery County Pennsylvania; died in 1777 in North Carolina. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

From the Boone Family by Mayfield-She was tall, robust with black hair and black eyes"with a Welsh snap in them. She was the daughter of Edward Morgan at Gwyneth meeting house and is believed to be the Aunt of the Revolutionary War Hero General Daniel Morgan. General Morgan was commander of Morgan's Riflemen at Sara toga, New York noted for accuracy and the capturing of the British Army under General Burgoyne. From Boone Families In Davie Co. North Carolina; After Squire Boone died in 1765 , Sarah Morgan Boone made her home with Mary and William Bryan until she died in 1777. Sarah was her daughter. From Soelle"s diary (he was a traveling preacher) At William Bryant's he saw "old mother Boone" who was a Quaker.
Because of Indian raids in the Yadkin River Valley, Squire, Sarah and family retreated for a time to Georgetown D.C. and to Maryland. About this time Sarah took her youngest son, Squire by horseback,only stopping to camp at night, home to Pennsylvania to visit family. She returned home without her son, Squire whom she left in Pennsylvania as an apprentice to his cousin Samuel Boone to learn the gunsmith trade. (This knowledge served Daniel Boone well in later years since Squire Jr. could make the guns they needed for protection and to shoot game for food.

EDWARD MORGAN m. (possibly) ELIZABETH JARMAN, (probably) the daughter of John Jarman. Edward and his wife arrived in PA in 1683, and lived near Radnor, PA, until 1695, when they moved to Towamencin Township and built a house on 500 acres of land. He joined the Society of Friends and was known as Edward Morgan the Taylor. (Edward's marriage to Elizabeth reported but no yet proven.)EDWARD MORGAN m. According to extract from "A History of the Morgan Family from the Year 1089 To the Present Times" by James Appleton Morgan (New York 18997-1902, "Edward Morgan sailed for America with his older sister, another Sarah who had married a Baptist, Stephen Bazelee (or Beasley). Edward became a Quaker, presumably on arrival in America since the Morgans of Llantarnam were well known to be Catholics and had suffered financial penalties at the hands of an English Parliament which regard Catholics as threatening the security of the state."EDWARD MORGAN m.
