Waymon U. Arnold, 72, of Victoria, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1998. He was born Oct. 30, 1925, in Goliad County, to the Late Leo and Guadalupe Noll Arnold. He was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a residential carpenter. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus No. 1329, VFW No. 4146 and American Legion. Survivors: wife Muriel Arnold; daughters, Rejane Hinke of Austin and Marcelle Quincy of Georgia; sons, Edward Arnold of Maryland and Vernon Arnold of Virginia; sisters, Winnie Charbula, Joyce Arnold and Lillian Hager, all of Victoria and Sadie Stoner of Corpus Christi; and eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by; four brothers; and one sister. A rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. today at Colonial Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 10 A.M. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Monsignor Brunner officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Meyersville Cemetery under the auspices of CWV, DAV, VFW, Marine Corps League and American Legion. Colonial Funeral Home, Victoria, 578-3535.
