  Notes	William graduated from St. Michael's Academy, Cuero, TX. in 1922. He then commenced work immediately in the law offices of Crain & Hartman of Cuero, TX. as a stenographer. He entered Law school in 1926 at U. T. While attending law school he worked for the Attorney General's office of the state of Texas. He was also the editor of the Texas Law Review, a member of Phi Delta Phi, and in the order of the Coif and Chancellor. He graduated from Law School in June of 1930 width an LLB Degree, with highest honors. He was a special assistant in the Attorney General's office until he resigned to move to Houston, TX, in October of 1930. There he was employed by the law firm of Ball & Simmons. In 1932, he became a partner of the firm of Simmons & Arnold, successor to the firm of Ball & Simmons. He practiced with D. A. Simmons until May of 1940, when he became associated with the law firm of Fulbright, Crooker & Freeman & Bates, then to Fulbright, Cooker, Freman, Bates & Jaworski, then to Fulbright, Crooker & Jaworski and presently known as Fulbright & Jaworski. William is a member of the Houston Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, American Bar Association, International Association of Insurance Counsel, and the American Judicature Society; member to the board of trustees of University of St. Thomas, Houston, TX, and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He happens to be the Arnold that went to Germany (Alsace) and did a lot of research there and had others do research for him. I believe he also did some checking into the Bluntzer family while there.
