      Isaac, the father of W.R. Fine who married Nancy Wilson granddaughter of Major William Wilson for whom Wilsonville was named.
      The fine family is one of the very oldest in Cocke county. In fact they were long before the county.

      Isaac Fine was a private in Capt. James Lillardís Tennessee Militia during
      the War of 1812.

      State of Tennessee

      County of Cocke on this 16th day of April 1878 personally appeared before me
      a clerk of a court of record in and for the county and state aforesaid Anna
      Fine a resident of Wilsonville Cocke Co. Tennessee who being by me duly
      sworn on her oath as follows that she does not remember the exact date of
      her marriage only by counting the time from the birth of her second child
      Lavina Ball who was born May 17, 1818 that there was two years and from the
      24th of November until the 17th day of May between the births of Lavina Ball
      and her oldest child Betsey Jones and that she was married eleven months and
      twenty days before her first child was born. She knows this to be correct as
      she has a record of her second child Lavina Balls age, but has not the date
      of birth of her oldest put down she states that she did have the date of
      birth of her oldest child down in a bible because the bible and it was taken
      away from the county and does not know the whereabouts of the bible but that
      she knows the time between the birth of the two children about spoken of she
      further states that she can furnish us record evidence of her marriage from
      the fact that the records of the office of this county were all burned

      This is a continuation of Anna Fine's testimony:

      State of Tennessee
      County of Cocke
      On this 16th day of April AD 1878 personally appeared before me Clerk of the
      County Court in and for the County of Cocke and State of Tennessee who being
      duly sworn according to law declares that she is the widow of Isaac Fine
      deceased who was identified Isaac Fine deceased who served under the name
      Isaac Fine who was a private in the Company commanded by Captain James
      Lillard in the Regt. of Tenn Militia Commanded by Col. Wm Lillard that her
      said husband volunteered at Newport Cocke County Tennessee on or about the
      day of ___ 1812 and continued in actual service for three months. She
      further states that the following is a full description of her husband at
      the time of his enlistment about 25 years old about 9 ??? (looks like inches
      or wehes) high blue eyes light hair fair complexion was born in Cocke Co
      Tennessee.
      She further states that she was married to the said Isaac Fine in or about
      the __ day of December 1814 by John Neatherten a Justice of the Peace that
      her name before her said marriage was Anna Poe. She further states that her
      said husband had never been previously married and that her said husband
      died at his home in Cocke County Tennessee in the 1st day of November 1862
      and she further declares that the following has been the place of residence
      of herself and her said husband since the date of his discharge in Cocke
      County Tennessee. She makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining
      the pension to which she may be entitled under the Act of February 14th 1871
      granting pensions to the survivors of the war of 1812 and their widows. She
      further states that she has always been loyal to the Government of the
      United States and never aided or abetted the rebels in the late rebellion.
      And hereby ?? (looks like aboints) A. W. Webster of Sandridge Tennessee her
      Attorney to prosecute her claim. She furthers states that she has made no
      application heretofore for pension that her husband drew two land warranties
      during his lifetime.
      She further states that her resident is Wilsonville Cocke County Tennessee.
      That her Post Office address is Newport Cocke County Tennessee
