    • He became king of Judah at age 16 and reigned for 52 years. He married Jerusha (daughter of Zadok ) who died in Jerusalem. He was a good king but became proud and tried to offer incense in the temple where only the priests were allowed to go. Because of his actions leprosy broke out on his forehead and he was forced to live the rest of his life in a separate building.
