    I don't know whether this will help clarify or confuse, but the parents of
    the Walter de Burgh you mention (1230-1271) were Richard de Burgh, L of
    Connaught (d.1242) and EGIDA, dau. of Walter de Lacy, Lord Paletine of
    Meath (1172-1241) and MARGARET, dau. of WILLIAM DE BRAOSE (1177-1200) and
    Maud de St. Valerie, Lady of la Haie.

    Walter married Avelina Fitzjohn about 1257. Avelina (daughter of John Fitzgeoffrey Lord Kirtling, Justiciar and Isabel Le Bigod) was born about 1234; died about 20 May 1274. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
