Supreme Commander, Army of the Confederacy. He was an honors graduate
from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, and
served honorably in the Army of the United States until Virginia seceded
from the union. His battle service took him to Texas in the 1840s.
Note: Robert came to the edge of the Okefenokee Swamp in theearly
1800's
trying to find his half-brother, JamesJackson (Little Harry) Lee
after their
father, Gen. Henry "Light Horse Harry" Lee died on Cumberland
Island,
Georgia. He tried to find James Jackson, and to help him get an
education but hewas never able to locate James.
